The first urban resort and spa in Shanghai
Following the success of the Millennium Towers resort launched in San Francisco in 2009, the PuLi hotel offers China the first luxury urban resort.
This is a new concept for the Far East, and PuLi signifies the first luxury resort within the city of Shanghai, as well as China. It has 26 floors, 209 rooms and 20 suites, and is centrally located in the heart of Shanghai’s business, shopping, sightseeing and entertainment districts. The idea is to provide an oasis for guests so that they can be transported away from busy city life, into the calm and tranquil atmosphere of the hotel.
PuLi offers guests the most decadent cuisine in Jing’An, the hotel’s 120 seat restaurant. It provides diners with seasonal and changing international menus, with a subtle Asian influence. It also allows them to explore new tastes by combining different selections of the dishes on the menu, creating an educational dining experience. Jing’An also possesses a 105 foot bar, named The Long Bar, offering Shanghai’s longest wine and champagne selection.
The hotel contains a luxury fitness centre, complete with a sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi pool, infinity pool and the Anantara spa from the award-winning spa group. Those wanting to experience the culture of Shanghai from within the walls of the hotel can enjoy traditional tea treatments and Chinese massages. You can also try a Ling Zhi bath – an ancient bathing ritual that uses fresh ginger to detoxify the body.
Rates at the PuLi urban resort begin at $500 per night, click here for more information: http://www.thepuli.com/en/
