The Cadillac Urban Luxury Concept

Posted by in Façonnable Lifestyle | Comments Off

Luxury cars and convenient parking do not usually go hand in hand, until now that is with the Cadillac Urban Luxury Concept – otherwise known as the ULC – which offers the usual conventions and features normally associated with a luxury car but, being a smaller alternative, is particularly beneficial in urban landscapes, where parking large, luxury cars proves to be more than a headache.

The ultra-modern, sophisticated and blatantly luxurious Cadillac Urban Luxury Concept was exposed at the General Motors North Hollywood Advanced Design Centre in California in November 2010.

Whereas ‘conventional’ urban cars are not usually associated with elegance and extravagance, the Cadillac Urban Luxury Concept uniquely blends the compactness and convenience of a small urban car with the lavishness and elaborateness of a typical luxury car. What’s more, whilst many smaller, urban cars are just two-seaters, the Cadillac Urban Luxury Concept has four seats, all of which are easily accessible via the vehicle’s unique scissor doors.

Other futuristic features include projected screens and touch screen computers, which control the car with a similar revolutionary revere of the gadgets and vehicles ‘Q’ invented that once wowed James Bond fans.

Similar to conventional urban cars, the ULC has not been designed to mesmerize its drivers by its high-velocity capabilities. Being powered by a small 1.0 litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine, the UCL can reach speeds of 56mph in urban areas and 65 mph on the highway.
