It was in 1919 when Oheka Castle commenced its love-affair with golf when Otto Kahn, the legendary investment banker, collector, philanthropist and patron of arts, commissioned Seth Raynor, a world renowned golf architect to design a golf course at the mansion. The course was re-designed in 1968 by an equally as exalted figure in the world of golf architecture, Robert Trent Jones. Given its illustrious history, it is only natural that the Oheka golf course went into partnership with the highly prestigious and private members only Cold Spring Country Club, and is considered one of the greatest private estate courses in the whole of the US.
