On 5th March and the 6th March 2011, at the exclusive Mission Inn Resort and Club, Florida, a motorist’s rapture lies ahead. Set amongst a vast stretch of unspoilt countryside, the Festivals of Speed welcomes guests from around the world, committed to experiencing an exhilarating weekend behind the wheel.

Situated 30 minutes to the northeast of Orlando, on a 1000-acre plot of diverse but plush surroundings, the Mission Inn Resort and Club is dedicated to catering for every individual taste and whim, no matter how trivial or particular. Guests can enjoy a game of golf on the most exquisite of golf courses, relax in the estate’s private luxury spa, enjoy boating on the beautiful spring-fed lake, or spend their time in the resort’s restaurant, eating and drinking some of the finest cuisine and drinks Florida has to offer.

Although you can forget participating in these luxury pastimes at the Mission Inn on the March 5th and 6th this year, as the Festivals of Speed weekend is all about acceleration, exhilaration and cars. On the morning of Saturday March 5th 2011, all attending motorists will drive through an exciting route of rolling roads, stopping at many interesting venues en route before finally finishing for a spot of lunch and a ribbon presentation for each participating car.

The afternoon will be dedicated to car dealers offering ‘tours’ to all Festivals of Speed guests so they can experience the sheer excitement of taking the car of their dreams on the open road. To help unwind after an invigorating day behind the wheel, guests are later invited to the Wine Connoisseurs Dinner with cocktails and a display of luxury lifestyle gifts, such as designer watches and sparkling jewellery. The meal concludes with a final tipple and cigar enjoyed under the moonlight on Mission Inn’s terrace.

The following day guests can muse through a heady display of the world’s finest modern and vintage cars, motorbikes and boats, whilst mingling with people with a like-minded passion for driving and collecting some of the finest vehicles on the planet.  The weekend is concluded with a lavish awards ceremony, where the winning cars drive along the fairway to receive their awards in front of a highly receptive and excited audience of more than 1000 car enthusiasts.
