Designer 3D glasses

With technology currently undergoing a ‘3D revolution’, it was only a matter of time before the conventional and nerdy looking 3D glasses were replaced for sleek, stylish, designer ones.

Renowned for creating the most innovative creativities in the world of fashion, luxury eyewear designer Alan Mikli has collaborated with the Korean manufacturing giants LG and launched a contemporary range of 3D glasses – Exuding style and taste without compromising comfort.

A far cry from the original plastic 3D glasses, resonant of the ones we used to wear in the school science lab, LG’s new range of designer 3D glasses use only metallic materials, in keeping with Mikli’s distinguished minimalist style.

Although a stylish and sophisticated exterior are far from these glasses only attributes. Wearing 3D glasses for a prolonged period of time can often make a viewer feel tired and compelled to remove the glasses to offer some relief. Designed with these common complaints in mind, the new LG range has a front and back ratio that is optimally balanced to help prevent ‘tired eyes’.

Discretely disguised as part of the sleek design, a pair of specifically crafted patented nose pads ensure the glasses lie comfortably on a viewer’s nose. Also aiding greater comfort are the spring loaded arms with lengthened tips, which snugly envelop around the ears.

The French fashion designer has always been celebrated for his trend-setting abilities, and so highly anticipated is the new LG range, that it is reported that they are to make an appearance at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

It looks set that 3D designer glasses are to explode onto the market throughout 2011, as Jordanian fashion designer and visualist Rad Hourani and contemporary designer in optical eyewear and sunglasses Mykita are also combining technology with fashion by creating a stylish pair of chunky 3D sunglasses.

Definitely worth wearing on the streets as well as the cinema!
