Let’s face it, business class air travel doesn’t offer much more than slightly more leg room than in economy class, a few free packets of peanuts and an endless supply of drinks. Recognising the need to supply big spending customers with a little more luxury, Cathay Pacific is ‘official five-star airline’ is to launch a new ‘business class seat’.
The ‘business class seat’ is essentially a seat that folds down into a flat bed, allowing clients to lie back and stretch out their legs, before falling asleep and waking up at their destination – oh the joy! Not only does the business class seat provide significantly more legroom room than conventional business class tickets and infinitely more space than the likes of Ryanair, the seat comes equipped with a remote control to adjust its position, as well as for changing the channels of a personal widescreen in-flight entertainment system.

…And it doesn’t involve champagne!
The ‘Jetlag Sleeping Capsule’ was recently featured in Veuve Clicquot’s “Once Upon a Dream” exhibit at DesignMiami. It was created by designer Mathieu Lehanneur, who studied the research of sleep specialists to design a space that provides what is said to be the perfect sleeping environment by touch, sight, smell and sound.

The pleasures of spring will soon be upon us including the Monaco Grand Prix, undoubtedly the most prestigious race of the F1 calendar. Being a modern incarnation of one of the oldest tennis championships in the world, the U.S Open Tennis is one of the most respected and prestigious tennis tournaments in the world.
When it was first staged at the Newport Casino in Newport, Rhode Island in 1881, the US Open was then known as the U.S National Championships. Since 1987, the US Open has been chronologically the fourth and final major tennis championships that makes up the annual Grand Slam tournament.
