Art Monaco 2011

Posted by in Arts and Cultural Influences | Comments Off

Describing itself as the hosts of the only contemporary art show on the Riviera, Art Monaco gives up and coming artists a chance to shine in the dazzling backdrop of the Cote D’Azur.

Art Monaco is returning this year following the success of its 2010 edition, and is welcoming galleries from all over the world to show and sell their art. With art collectors, critics and the general public in attendance, the event provides a great way for new artists to network and potentially sell their artworks all under one roof. The exhibition is also an excellent opportunity for visitors to purchase exquisite art pieces from around the world.

Art Monaco was created to cater for the growing need to support local and international art, however artists are required to apply online to be part of the exhibition and will receive an invitation to show their work if they are successful. They are then given the opportunity to book a booth at the show, which costs from 5,950€. Included in this price, the artist or gallery are provided with 3 cotton-covered walls, 6 spotlights, opening night passes, unlimited VIP tickets for the show, 1 colour page ad in the event catalogue, 1 table, 2 chairs, and inclusion on the Art Monaco website.

This year’s edition runs from 31st March until 3rd April at The Grimaldi Forum of Monaco – one of the most valued congress halls in Europe. It is also home to tributes to Monaco’s Princess, Grace Kelly, as well as many world-famous operas. Art Monaco is taking place in the Espace Diaghilev Hall, between the Japanese Garden and the main entrance of the Grimaldi Forum. This means that it is a short walking distance from the famous “Place du Casino” as well as the main hotels.
