Antigua Charter Yacht Show 2010

Posted by in Façonnable Inspirations | Comments Off

With over 100 of the world’s most luxury yachts smoothly sailing into Antigua’s beautiful harbours and gracing three of Antigua’s most exclusive and impressive marinas with their elegance and opulence, it is easy to understand why the annual Antigua Charter Yacht Show is in its 49th year, and is one of the most elite events on the worldwide yachting calendar.

For six consecutive days –an extended duration on previous years – Nelson’s Dockyard Marina in English Harbour, the Falmouth Harbour Marina and the Antigua Yacht Club Marina, both located in Falmouth Harbour, are bestowed with a refined flock of oyster white deluxe yachts boasting flawless satin teak interiors, undoubtedly some of the finest yachts in the world let alone in the Caribbean.

The purpose of this stunning show is fundamentally to enable Luxury Yacht Brokers to inspect and review the yachts, mingle with the crew and be informed on what’s new and hot for the forthcoming Caribbean Charter Season.

This year, in addition to the registered yachts remaining in the marinas for the first five days, the sixth day will be dedicated to a ‘Day sail’, providing yacht management companies with the opportunity to invite charter brokers visiting the event to experience a ‘micro-charter’. The ‘micro-charter’ will allow privileged visitors to climb aboard some of the world’s finest charter yachts and glide over Antigua’s dazzling coastal waters.

Apart from leisurely milling around eying up the yacht candy in the most heavenly of surroundings, the show will include an annual welcome dinner party, the hospitality desk and reception meeting centre, the charter  chefs competition, the captain’s briefing, the show shuttle, the end of show crew party and the highly popular show bags.

The Antigua Charter Yacht Show 2010 will be held from 6 December – 11 December and with over 100 luxury yachts and a swarm of international press and marine vendors attending, it really is an event for any marine professional not to miss.
