The five most luxurious hammocks

Posted by in Façonnable Lifestyle | Comments Off

There are hammocks and there are ‘hammocks’, the latter being significantly more comfortable than the former. Take a look at five of possibly the most luxurious hammocks in existence.

With its almost cryptic shape comprising of a metal frame and canvas canopy and seat, the Royal Botania Surf Lounger looks more like an ingenious sculpture than a hammock. With a name like the Royal Botania Surf Lounger we would have to agree that this luxury hammock is definitely fit for royalty.

Men’s pink shirts are more popular than blue!

Posted by in Façonnable Lifestyle | Comments Off

What’s in a colour? Apparently quite a lot, if you look at recent Google searches, which we recently analysed.

The Google search data has allowed us to produce a list of which was the most searched colour of men’s shirts.

It makes pretty interesting reading!

For instance, Pink shirts are more popular than red and blue shirts, whilst yellow and orange shirts are searched more than brown and grey shirts.

In our opinion this shows a growing consumer trend for more vibrantly coloured men’s shirts. I wonder if the fashion world is listening?

Moreover, why might this be? Are men generally being more adventurous in their choice of clothes or are more women trying to spruce up the wardrobes of their husbands?

This research has been undertaken by Social Media agency, Orbital Media.

The ‘3D Fast Bus’ Concept Introduced in China

Posted by in Façonnable Lifestyle | Comments Off

Transport experts in China have come up with an innovative public transport system that pushes boundaries, particularly in height!

Proposed by the Shenzhen Hashi Future Parking Equipment Co., the Fast Bus will straddle over the road, passing directly over cars, lorries and buses.

The company has recognised that the 3 main types of public transport in China are the subway, trains and buses. However, improving the subway is an expensive operation and takes a long time to build, whilst buses clog up the roads and dramatically increase noise and air pollution. In comparison to these, the 3D Fast Bus concept will offer the most environmentally friendly and cost efficient solution to China’s ever growing traffic turmoils.

Swiss Luxury Igloos

Posted by in Façonnable Inspirations | Comments Off

Fancy a winter getaway with a difference? Why not try living like an Eskimo for the night in the Swiss Alps.

Situated in the midst of snow-clad ski slopes, Iglu-Dorf is an igloo village that is linked by tunnels, creating the appearance of mystic caves. The igloos were built in 5 weeks using giant inflatable balloons which were covered in snow and then released to retain a round dome-shape. They are also rebuilt each season using around 3,000 tonnes of snow. Adrian Gunter, the inventor of the Iglu-Dorf concept, built his first igloo on a skiing holiday to get an early start on the slopes the next day.
