The eight million dollar iPhone

Posted by in Façonnable Lifestyle | Comments Off

In our increasingly gadget obsessed world, being seen with any phone other than an iPhone can be highly damaging to one’s reputation. Spending several hundred dollars on the latest multi-faceted mobile phone spawns a degree of prosperity and style, seemingly necessary in our progressively image-infatuated culture. But imagine casually producing an $8 million iPhone from your pocket when socializing with friends?

Piaget creates cocktail-inspired rings

Posted by in Façonnable Lifestyle | Comments Off

Swiss brand Piaget has created a new line of ‘cocktail rings’ that resemble some of the most iconic cocktails to add to their Limelight Collection.

The brand has welcomed six new additions, each named after a drink. There’s the Whiskey on the Rocks, made of 18 carat yellow gold with a citrine stone in the middle, and 2 quartz stones cut to look like ice cubes. The perpetual popularity of the Cosmopolitan cocktail is immortalised in diamonds with a flaming rubelite stone set in a bed of diamonds and finished with a jewelled star fruit. The simple White Tonic channels the suave nature of Bond with its salute to the traditional Martini drink; a base of diamonds with a green ‘olive’ on the side. The Blue Ocean is formed of a huge blue topaz stone, with a coralline bead to represent a cherry. It is then completed with a tiny diamond straw. The Blueberry Daiquiri is based around a cushion-cut Amethyst and finished with a diamond staw, and pink sapphire umbrella.
