‘Floating’ hotel in Thailand
Hilton Hotels & Resorts have unveiled a stunning ‘floating’ hotel in Pattaya Thailand for cosmopolitan visitors to the resort.
The hotel is named Hilton Pattaya and promises to offer a new kind of beachfront experience to the heart of the popular beach resort of Pattaya, which was once a sleepy fishing village. The Hilton Pattaya rises above the new “Central Festival at Pattaya Beach” complex – Southeast Asia’s largest beachfront shopping and entertainment facility. It has over 200 shops and restaurants, a 10 screen cinema and a 16 lane bowling alley, which guests will have direct access to.
The Hilton Pattaya has 302 Zen-inspired rooms and suites between levels 19 and 33, all with panoramic ocean views. The decor of these rooms is kept neutral with whites, beiges and light woods, and each one is equipped with a Hilton Serenity Bed that promises to give you an extremely comfortable night’s sleep. They also have LCD TV, high speed internet and separate living and dining areas. The hotel boasts an infinity-edge pool, set around landscaped gardens and spectacular sea views from the 16th floor. It also offers guests 5 different dining experiences: Flare- specialising in seafood, meats and wines, Horizon – a rooftop sky lounge and champagne bar, Drift – for tapas and cocktails, Edge – an all day Pan-Asian restaurant with an open kitchen, and Share – for lighter cuisine and drinks around the pool. The Hilton Pattaya will be the Asian debut of Hilton’s global spa concept called Eforea: Spa at Hilton. It has an extensive treatment menu to help guests to “emerge brighter”, including an exclusive hair and beauty salon.
Room rates start from $222 per night for the 46 sq metre King Hilton Deluxe room with sea views, or $1,040 per night for the 125 sq metre King Grand Ocean Suite with spectacular ocean views.
