Façonnable participates in the 2013 Sailing World Championship

The french riviera brand sponsors the chilean sail boat bellavita ii, racing in the soto 40 class, the elite of south american sailing.

Façonnable continues to strengthen its ties with the world of sports, this time by participating in the 2013 SOTO 40 World Championship with the sponsorship of Chilean sail boat that race in the SOTO 40 Class, the elite of South American sailing.

The 40-foot sail boat is called Bellavita II and is owned and captained by the famous Chilean entrepreneur Jorge Errázuriz Grez,. The mixed crew of both professionals and amateurs marks the first Chilean team to have joined the Soto 40 Class, a competition amongst boats whose design is identical, in June 2010.

The Façonnable logo will appear on the boom.

After four competitions disputed in national waters last year, Bellavita II is getting ready to set sail in the Mundial Soto 40 that will be held in Concepcion, Chile, from January 28 to February 2, 2013.

Team members include Exequiel Lira, bowman; Pablo Lorca, mid bow, Santiago Lorca, pitman; Cristóbal Grez, tailer; Jonathan Swain, head sail trimmer; Victor Lobos, navigator; David Scott, main sail trimmer; Matías Seguel, helm and Kelvin Harrap, tactician.

The team’s main achievements include fourth place in 2010 Rolex Ilhabela Sailing Week, second place at the Regata al Norte Copa VTR 2011 and third in the Regata Off Valparaiso 2012.
