Italia Independent tribute to Façonnable sunglasses event at Bluebird
Forget the typical English drizzle
A well assorted crowd of British socialites gathered at Bluebird, the famous London concept store, located where art deco flourishes on the bustling King’s Road, to snap up a pair of the funky and colourful sunglasses co-produced by Façonnable and Italia Independent.
The relaxed evening, hosted by Façonnable and Mira Mikati, ticked away leisurely as guests browsed around trying on the limited edition shades, a highly successful cross between Italian innovation and French Riviera heritage.
It was hard for this fashion crowd to resist these captivating shades in pop colors that certainly stand out of the pack. Based on Italia Independent’s best-selling 000B aviator model, the iconic sunglasses have been revamped with Façonnable’s signature stripes, a calling card of the brand’s celebrated shirts. Featuring steel brushed frames covered in colorful Façonnable stripes and tinted mirrored lenses, they are available in six colors – blue, turquoise, yellow, green, orange and pink.
These sunglasses also have a philanthropic angle as Façonnable will donate a slice of sales of the pink shades to The Lyla Nsouli Foundation For Children’s Brain Cancer Research, a UK registered charity dedicated to fighting the harrowing disease.
