Façonnable partners with Italia Independent
on a ‘tribute’ collection of limited edition sunglasses
Monte Carlo, April 10, 2012 —Just in time for the Monte Carlo Rolex Masters, Façonnable is showing its sporty side with an exclusive collection of limited edition ‘tribute’ shades, produced in partnership with Italia Independent.
Italia Independent is a creativity and style brand that marries fashion and design, tradition and innovation. Italia Independent updates Made in Italy and reinterprets classic icons. The model chosen for this collaboration is one if I-I’s bestseller: the 000B with the iconic aviator shape, reinterpreting the Façonnable signature stripes features.
The special series of aviators makes its debut courtside in Monte Carlo during the ATP tournament in April and will be available for a limited time in all Façonnable stores worldwide exclusively, including the online boutique.
The striking frames, a marriage of Italian design and French Riviera allure, feature a colorful Façonnable-striped motif along the frames with matching tinted lenses. Featuring a brushed steel frame with acetate front and tips with mirrored lenses, these lightweight shades inject a hint of “bon vivant” appeal to any look.
These sunglasses also have a philanthropic view. Façonnable will donate a portion of sales of the pink shade from the collection to The Lyla Nsouli Foundation For Children’s Brain Cancer Research, a UK registered charity dedicated to fighting the harrowing disease.

Available in six colors — blue, turquoise, orange, yellow, pink and green — the shades are the finishing detail to any warm-weather wardrobe. Retailing for 165 euros, the limited edition collection will be available through summer 2012.
